Replace a Person in a Video with Another Person
Upload 1–4 photos and a clip, or pick one of 24 built-in clips. The AI redraws the chosen person as someone else (face, hair, body shape and clothes) while the moves, camera, background and original sound stay. You pay per finished video with one-time credits; there is no subscription.
1–4 photos · 5–30 s output · up to 1080p · original sound kept · price shown before you start · failed runs refunded

Replace person in video: examples from other tools
Six public demos of whole-person replacement, re-hosted with credit. They show what the technique does; none of them was made on this site.
A runner on a track becomes a man in a brown jacket. Left: source. Right: result. Inset: the reference photo.
A model in a metallic dress becomes a woman in a white polo and skirt; pose, set and light are kept.
The same living-room dance with a new dancer in a grey hoodie: same steps, same camera.
A talking-to-camera clip recast from one portrait, the format brands use for UGC-style ads (result only).
Not only people: a woman in yellow sunglasses becomes a ginger cat holding the same glass.
A phone dance video with a different dancer, made from a single photo (result only).
Face swap, character replacement or full-body replacement?
“Replace a person in a video” covers three different jobs. Pick the one that matches what has to change.
| Type | What changes | What stays | What you upload | Typical tools |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Face swap | The face only | Body, clothes, hair, voice, background | Video + one face photo | Reface, FaceFusion, CapCut face swap |
| Character replacement | The person becomes a character or a style (robot, anime, animal) | Motion, timing, camera | Video + character image or prompt | Runway, Kling, Viggle |
| Full-body replacement (this page) | The whole person: face, hair, body shape and clothes | Moves, timing, camera, background, other people, sound | Video + 1–4 photos of the new person | This tool (MiniMax H3, Seedance), Wan 2.2 Animate, Higgsfield Recast |
Want to keep the original outfit and body and change only the face? A face swap app is the better and cheaper choice for that.
How to replace a person in a video with another person
Five steps in the tool above. There is nothing to install: it runs in any phone or laptop browser.
- 01
Add the new person
Upload 1–4 photos, one person per photo. Photo 1 replaces the most prominent person in the clip, Photo 2 the next one.
- 02
Pick the clip
Choose a built-in clip, or upload your own MP4 or MOV (up to 50 MB, 5 seconds to 5 minutes).
- 03
Select the part
Drag the window over the timeline to choose 5, 10, 15 or 30 seconds, and preview only that part.
- 04
Choose model and quality
MiniMax H3 is the default, Seedance 2.5 edits up to 30 s, and Seedance 2.0 is the cheapest at 480p. The credit price updates as you choose.
- 05
Generate and download
Confirm you have consent and start. Most videos finish within a few minutes; the original sound is put back and the MP4 has no watermark.
What makes a good source
- Photo
- Sharp, front-facing, whole head visible, even light. A full-body photo also shows the clothes you want.
- Clip length
- 5–15 s for a first try. One continuous shot works better than a part with many cuts.
- The person
- Clearly visible, not tiny in the frame, face not covered by hands or objects.
- Motion
- Fast spins and turning away from the camera are where identities drift; choose a part with fewer of them.
- Light
- Similar light in the photo and the clip, for example a daylight photo for a daylight scene.
- People in frame
- Up to four people can be replaced: one photo per person, in order of prominence. Everyone else stays as filmed.
What one finished video costs
Each video has a fixed price per model, length and resolution, shown before you generate. Credits come in one-time packs, never expire, and there is no subscription.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| MiniMax H3 · 720p | 22 cr · ≈ $1.45 | 44 cr · ≈ $2.90 | 66 cr · ≈ $4.34 | — |
| MiniMax H3 · 1080p | 35 cr · ≈ $2.30 | 70 cr · ≈ $4.61 | 105 cr · ≈ $6.91 | — |

Dollar values use the Studio pack’s $0.066 per credit; smaller packs cost a little more per credit. The number of photos (1–4) doesn’t change the price.

Budgeting a batch: 10, 50 or 100 videos a month
For agencies and creators who post every day: the cheapest pack mix for each volume, from the same price table.
| Video | Credits each | 10 videos | 50 videos | 100 videos |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0, 5 s, 480p | 16 | $17.98 ($1.80 each) · 1× Starter + 1× Popular | $59.98 ($1.20 each) · 2× Creator | $108.99 ($1.09 each) · 1× Creator + 1× Studio |
| MiniMax H3, 10 s, 720p | 44 | $38.97 ($3.90 each) · 3× Popular | $158 ($3.16 each) · 2× Studio | $296.98 ($2.97 each) · 2× Creator + 3× Studio |
| Seedance 2.5, 10 s, 720p | 99 | $79 ($7.90 each) · 1× Studio | $328.99 ($6.58 each) · 1× Popular + 4× Studio | $657.98 ($6.58 each) · 2× Popular + 8× Studio |
Longer or 1080p videos scale with the price table. Credits never expire, so buying a quarter’s worth at once is fine.
Which model for which job
All three replace the whole person and keep the moves. They differ in length, resolution and how they read the clip.
| Job | Use | Why |
|---|---|---|
| UGC-style ad or talking clip | MiniMax H3, 10 s, 720p (44 credits) | The default. Faces and clothes stay close to the photo; 1080p is sharper and costs more. |
| Testing a clip cheaply | Seedance 2.0, 5 s, 480p (16 credits) | The lowest price on the page. Check the casting and the motion before paying for 720p or 1080p. |
| A whole 30-second scene | Seedance 2.5, 30 s (132 credits at 480p) | The only model that edits 30 s in one go. It reviews the photos and the clip first, so a rejected file costs nothing. |
| Two to four people | Any model, one photo per person | Photo order is the casting: Photo 1 for the most prominent person. A note can say who replaces whom instead. |
Other ways to replace a whole person in a video
If this tool isn’t the right fit, these are the main routes for full-body replacement (not only face swap), compared by what they need and how you pay.
| Route | What you give it | What it replaces | How you pay | Setup |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| This tool | 1–4 photos + your clip or a template | The whole person; original sound kept | One-time credit packs, from $1.05 a video | Browser on any phone or computer |
| Wan 2.2 Animate (Replace mode) in ComfyUI | One image + a video | The whole person | Free, open source (Apache 2.0) | Local NVIDIA GPU and a ComfyUI workflow |
| Wan 2.2 Animate through an API (e.g. Replicate) | One image + a video | The whole person | Per run | API key or the provider’s playground |
| Higgsfield Recast | Character image + a video | The person, by a person or character | Plan credits | Browser |
| Kling Motion Control | An image + a motion video | Animates the image’s person with the video’s motion; the scene comes from the image | Plan credits | Browser or app |
| Runway Aleph / Act-Two | A video + a prompt, reference or performance | Edits people in the clip (Aleph) or drives a character with a performance (Act-Two) | Plan credits | Browser |
| Face swap apps (Reface, CapCut, FaceFusion) | A face photo + a video | The face only | Free tiers or plans; FaceFusion is free to run locally | Phone app, browser or local install |
Other tools change their plans often; check their own sites for current prices.
Fixing blurry, warped or off-sync results
The usual problems, what causes them and what to change before the next run.
| Problem | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A 4K upload comes out soft | Output tops out at 1080p, and the 480p/720p tiers are smaller still | Choose 1080p, keep the person large in the frame, and export from your editor only once. |
| Hands or fingers look wrong | Fast hand motion, or hands crossing the face | Pick a part with slower hands and an uncovered face. |
| Teeth or eyes look odd in close-ups | Very close shots of laughing or shouting | Use a photo with a relaxed expression and a slightly wider part of the clip. |
| Lips don’t match the words | The mouth is redrawn from the source motion; talking clips are the hardest | Use a front-facing talking shot of 5–10 s; MiniMax H3 is the steadiest choice. |
| The face changes between frames | Turning away, cuts or low light in the source | Choose a shorter single-shot part and a sharper front-facing photo in similar light. |
| The run was rejected | A photo or the clip failed the content review (Seedance 2.5 checks real faces first) | Your credits are refunded. Try another photo, or MiniMax H3. |
Consent, commercial use and famous faces
Replacing a person changes who appears to have done something. A few rules keep that fair.
- Only replace yourself or people who agreed to it, and only put in people who agreed. The tool asks you to confirm this every time.
- For ads, get written permission from the person in the photo and the rights to the source clip. Replacing the person doesn’t clear the footage itself.
- Don’t use celebrities or public figures to suggest they endorse something, and use the AI label where TikTok, Instagram or YouTube ask for it.
- Uploads and results sit in private storage and open only through your account. They are used to make your video.
- No nudity, sexual content or minors. Such requests are refused, and rejected runs are refunded.
Questions about replacing a person in a video
How much does it cost to replace a person in a video, and do I need a subscription?
No subscription. Each video has a fixed credit price: from 16 credits (about $1.05) for 5 s on Seedance 2.0 at 480p, and 44 credits (about $2.90) for a 10 s MiniMax H3 video at 720p. Credits come in one-time packs from $4.99 and never expire.
What would 50 replacement videos a month cost a small agency?
At 10 s on MiniMax H3 in 720p, 50 videos need 2200 credits. The cheapest way to buy them is 2× Studio for $158, about $3.16 a video. Short 480p tests on Seedance 2.0 cost less; 1080p and 30-second scenes cost more.
I want to keep the original clothes and body and only change the face. Is this the right tool?
No. This tool takes the face, hair, body type and clothes from your photo. To keep the original outfit and body, use a face swap tool, which is also cheaper.
Can I use a video where I replaced someone with another person in an ad?
Only with written consent from the person whose photo you used and the rights to the source clip (your own footage or licensed). Using a celebrity’s likeness for a brand needs their permission. Mark the video as AI-edited where the platform requires it.
I uploaded a 4K clip and the result looks soft. How do I get a sharper video?
Output tops out at 1080p, so a 4K source is scaled down. Pick the 1080p tier, keep the person large in the frame and choose a well-lit part. Re-exporting several times in an editor softens it further.
Why do hands, teeth or lips sometimes look wrong?
The model redraws the whole person in every frame, and fast hands, open-mouth close-ups and talking are the hardest parts. A calmer 5–10 s part and a front-facing photo with a relaxed expression avoid most of it.
Can I replace a person in a video in CapCut alone?
CapCut’s face swap effects and templates change the face. Replacing the whole person with someone from a photo needs a full-body tool like this one; you can still edit the finished video in CapCut.
Is there a free version, and is there a watermark?
Signing up is free, but this tool unlocks with any pack purchase; sign-up credits pay for the homepage generator only. Finished videos have no watermark, and failed runs are refunded.
